Jerusalem Experience UK
School & Youth Sessions
For school classes (KS2) and church youth groups there are special programmes suited
to their age range.
A typical session might start with a
5-minute onscreen presentation illustrating the Tabernacle and past Jerusalem temples.
This is followed by a short guided tour of the Herod’s Temple model, usually related
to a seasonal theme, e.g. the Nativity or a biblical festival.
In small groups, children assemble mini-models of Herod’s Temple.
The models are then used as a visual aid to illustrate an event in Jerusalem, e.g.
the healing of the paralysed man at the Pool of Bethesda.
Lego figures can be used by the groups in the retelling of the narrative.
