NATIONAL BIBLICAL EXHIBITION CENTRE   NBEC

The perimeter curtains of the Tabernacle’s outer court form an ultra-wide screen for an audio visual presentation. The narration starts with the reason why God brought a new nation into being after the era of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel.

Route maps and film footage of locations are combined with the journeying of life-size characters traversing the wide screen. These scenes illustrate the period from the call of Abraham to the exodus from Egypt, to Joshua’s eventual entry into the Promised Land.

Central to this sequence of events is the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai.

One of the main features of the exhibition is a full-size replica of the Tabernacle, standing 15ft (4.6m) high and wide.

Inside the sanctuary a sound & light show explains the design and purpose of the Tabernacle’s overall pattern and the function of its individual furnishings .

In the next room the journey continues via the Time Tunnel, graphically depicting the plight of Old Testament Israel, linked with prophecies concerning the coming Messiah.
